Crisis
Danger
Opportunity
Crisis
As in all languages, new words are often created from concatenations of
already known words. One particularly insightful combination is the Chinese
ideograph for "crisis" which is composed of two characters, the
left one meaning "danger" and the right one "opportunity."
"Out of clutter, find simplicity.
Out of discord, find harmony.
In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity."
Albert Einstein
There is also an old Hawaiian saying that suggests something similar,
but I don't have the Hawaiian translation:
"Love and conflict are binding."
