I was coming home one day on public transport when I sat next to a lady, with her young daughter and cat. They were taking the cat to the vet, and as I love animals we talked and I played with the kitty until their stop. Mom was worried about the cost of this vet visit. I showed them where the vet was and continued on my way.

I then changed my mind, went back to the vet, waited with the daughter while the doctor saw the kitty and I paid for the visit at the end. $51,  best $51 I have ever spent. Got them a cat carrier to take kitty home in and we all went on our separarte ways.
