I was driving up to the parking lot where I get my hair done every two months. It was pouring rain. As I was about to get out of my car in the parking lot (with my umbrella in my hand), I noticed an older couple coming out of the beauty parlor with no umbrella. The husband ran to the car probably to move the car up closer. As the wife was about to walk to the car, I ran to the lady and extended my umbrella to her. She had a surprised look on her face then had a smile on her face. She was very grateful that her new hairdo was not ruined by the pouring rain. And I got a kiss on the cheek from this sweet old lady. I felt great by that random act of kindness. I have a feeling that she may have shared that experience as to how some stranger extended their umbrella in the pouring rain to save her new hairdo.
