The Oahu Civic Orchestra was originally founded in 1971 as the Windward Symphony. The orchestra now includes musicians from all 'walks of life', who live somewhere between Kahuku and Hawaii Kai. The Oahu Civic Orchestra is a volunteer, community orchestra which provides the opportunity for amateur musicians to perform classical, pop, and contemporary music. The mission of the Oahu Civic Orchestra is to enrich quality of life and culture on Oahu by providing a nurturing and supportive environment for ALL musicians to challenge, develop and enjoy their musical skills by regularly attending rehearsals and participating in performances of music in the community. It is also Chaminade University's Orchestra in Residence. If you are a student at Chaminade, you can join the OCO and get credit! Rehearsals are held 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Eiben Hall. This is my personal webpage on the OCO. I am the Chinese guy with the white hair near the center of the picture, in the second violin section. The OCO now has an official website located at: oahucivicorchestra.org.
