Oahu Civic Orchestra

A picture of the Oahu Civic Orchestra

The Oahu Civic Orchestra is a volunteer, community orchestra which provides the opportunity for amateur musicians to perform classical, pop, and contemporary music. The mission of the Oahu Civic Orchestra is to enrich quality of life and culture on Oahu by providing a nurturing and supportive environment for ALL musicians to challenge, develop and enjoy their musical skills by regularly attending rehersals and participating in performances of music in the community. It is also Chaminade University's Orchestra in Residence.

Our conductors are Norma Parado and Roy Yanagida.

Our former conductor, Bob DeMello passed away on March 2, 2001. He had been with the Honolulu Symphony for 50 years.
